Western Pacific Rattlesnake

Crotalus oreganus oreganus

The Western Pacific Rattlesnakes is a pit viper that eats birds, lizards, snakes, frogs, insects, and small mammals. Western rattlesnakes mate in spring when they emerge from hibernation. Females give birth to as many as 25 live young. Baby rattlesnakes are born precocial (fully developed).
