SVR French grape varietals are grown in a traditional method; wide spacing, head pruned, dry farmed, and organic. Field practices that encourage a strong vine, yielding healthy grapes supporting native yeast for natural wine making.

Negrette
France / Southwest
Negrette gets its name from its black color; an intense color which is also found in the wines themselves, but
it is vulnerable to oidium and grey rot, so the hot, dry climate of the Suisun Valley suits the vines well.
Negrette tends to be more delicate, perfumed and suppler than the better-known Tannat variety and
has low amounts of tannins as well as acidity.

Tannat
France / Madiran
Tannat is a red wine grape from south west France in the Madiran.
Tannat has one of the highest levels of antioxidants of all red wines. Along with high tannins and acidity, high levels of antioxidants will allow the wine to age long term.
Tannat’s thick skins make it resistant to fungus, rot and spring frost.
Tannat is also used to produce full bodied rosés that show more of the red fruit flavors, such as red currant, red cherry and raspberry.
Tannat grapes matured to a higher brix level can make a rich, deeply lush port style wine.
